ALSO, Argentine women love dancing. If you don’t know, ask a pretty girl to teach you. She’ll DEFINITELY be down and it’s a good way to meet women. Once I got the dancing down, I would pretend I didn’t know how so they thought they were good teachers when I “picked it up” quickly .

I think people are missing one crucial thing about Argentine women. I’m from NYC but went to BA for a month and I was very successful. It’s in the women’s nature to be flirty and the best thing to do is to use this to your advantage. Flirt back double what they are but be mean in a funny way at the same time. As soon as you get a portena laughing and talking, it’s game over.

Argentine women (and particularly porteñas) are the unfriendliest women I’ve ever met. Everything you said is no surprise to me… I find them to be stuck up, distant and VERY sexually repressed. Their ugly attitudes make it hard to approach them let alone get them to bed!!! Argentine girls are definitely the most difficult you’ll ever find. Even the local men admit this… Why do you think it is so common among them to frequent brothels? The answer is obvious: it is so hard to get laid that many are left with no option but to pay for sex. Sad but true.

I´m from Argentina and i have travel to: Chile, Brasil, Uruguay, Peru, Colombia, Panamá, USA, México and United Kingdom many times. So i could say that I have some experience meeting other cultures and i can say that you have not understand Argentine girls.
If you’re in a country that is not yours is much easier to get laid.
You have not understand a little bit of our culture.

Yeah, I don’t know where El Rooshbo went or what he was doing wrong, but Argentina isn’t as desolate or hard to get laid in as he makes it out to be. You just need to know how to play the game. If you’re a Yanqui like I am, I’d suggest playing up that card, especially in the provinces. You’ll get more attention and ins with girls if you DON’T try to adapt to their social culture and make a point of standing out and not going along with your BS. If a girl is really into you, you’ll find out and she’ll drop the BS if you make it clear you’re not interested in playing games…that goes for any culture.

No. 2, it’s absolutely necessary to plug yourself in, to some degree, with locals your age. Young people are generally very open and there are always plenty of people who would love to add some random American to their social circle. Do that and stick with them when they hit the town…half of your work is done for you.

No. 3, go with them to private parties or get-togethers. Especially out in the provinces…this is where it goes down. Someone’s finca or some construction site out on the edge of town…get truly crazy, much more so than any public dance club. If you’re just looking to meet chicks who are at their loosest (which is always going be be less than US girls, but still), you need to get to these kind of parties. Like my newfound acquaintance told me, “at this party, there will be muchas chicas que quieren sexo con vos, ah?” Yes, this was true.

Don’t be afraid to take advantage of your foreign-ness, ESPECIALLY outside of Bs.As. where they don’t get too many gringos. You’d be surprised at how open and willing people are, glad to bring you around and show you off, and how many chicks are naturally going to be interested in you because you’re different. Like I said, that’s half your work, right there.

I wouldn’t advise dressing like a bum and wearing a Che Guevara beard so that you look more indio than most Argies, though.

Man you have hit the nail on the head with this post.
I normally do pretty well with girls from all places, been living here in buenos aires for a year now and while ive been with a few arg girls (and went out with one – mentalist) this is def the hardest place ive ever rolled pick up wise.
Im fairly good looking which normally helps, here it just makes fuck all difference. The girls just dont look at you, start whispering like in other places ive been. Its bizarre. You will even get told, “so and so thinks your hot” and then you speak to her and its all good but its just hard to escalate it well. Its bizarre, i havent figured it out AND i speak good spanish and i have many arg male friends, good social circle.

Dude, you hit the nail on the head. I’ve never been to Argentina, but last winter I dated a girl from Argentina while she was in the states for 3 months, and they are crazy. The girl was drop dead gorgeous, by far the hottest girl I’ve been with, but putting up with her was almost not worth it. The first night I met her I thought she was going to fall in love within a week. By the time she left she hardly wanted to hang out anymore. She was not open at all about sex. She was a very sexual girl, she loved sex, but she never liked talking about anything sexual in public. I also found that she was pretty close minded to other cultures. She would always say “In Argentina we don’t _______.” I was like, well, this is America. I went to a couple Argentinan parties, I couldn’t get the dancing down, and she loved dancing. The only thing I didn’t find accurate was how hard you made it sound to get an Argentine girl. I met her at work, and that same night we ended up making out in the club, I would have taken her home that night if she had a change of clothes with her. I got her in bed the next day.

Very similar to the situation in Puerto Rico, where I lived for a year. Still living under a very strong penumbra of Catholicism. (Yeah, I know — PR and some other Latin countries have a high rate of abortion which kind of dispels the Catholicism argument, but believe me, almost all of this stuff can be traced back to the Church’s influence, and that dies very hard.)

ive been to argentina twice.. and the second time I brought sand to the beach so i cant comment on the chick situation.

the first time in beunos aires i hooked up with a couple girls but nothing further than that.. then i headed to Pantagonia and met some chicks from spain so never bothered with the arginitines.

its interesting to hear your take… i’m beat cuz i hate dancing.. although now that you mention it the two girls i hooked up with down there i danced with…

I am sorry you did not like their ways, and understand it to a certain extent. Argentine girls are tough, and have many flaws. On the other hand, while sometimes you seem to describe your ideal woman as this liberated one-night stand kind of girl who would not demand anything from you and just wants to have fun, in other posts you really look down on women who fell for your tricks and who you banged, as if they were victims of your predating game. So, although I enjoy your posts and think you are a nice guy deep inside, to be perfectly honest, part of me is proud that some of my co-nationals significantly challenged your “pump and dumping”.
