I walk to the Starbucks near my Dad’s house at least six days a week. I’ve gotten to know most of the baristas there and they’ve gotten to know me as the laptop guy who wakes up really late. One of the baristas is a 19-year-old college student who is like the somewhat legal drinking age brother I’ll never have. He’s chatty, outgoing, and likes having casual sex with girls, so I figure he’d like Bang. I gave him a copy because I want to turn him into an unstoppable player force. He emailed me the other day:

ROOSH, can i just first and foremost say, I started reading ur book and it is fucking AMAZING. Seriously its as helpful as it is HILARIOUS. Its so good that I have been reading it to all my friends and family as they come into the room. I carry it around everywhere in my backpack when i go out and its still in it’s original bag… i value it so much lol. I’ve been jumping around the book because i cannot control my excited little self as i read the book, my eyes cannot help but wonder to other pages. I was thinking to myself, “Shit, i am going to read this book slowly and savor this work of art masterpiece so it will last longer. i am going to be disappointed when i stop reading.”

[Roosh] attacks the female psyche like a scientist, using the scientific method to try hundreds of possible moves on his way to developing his plan for success for even the most acne-clad Dungeons and Dragons fans out there. He has clearly spent his entire adult life honing his “game,” and the reader is the beneficiary with this excellent book. He uses metaphors and relatable analogies to make all his points crystal clear, outlining what should be the obvious, but for many helpless guys passes as new material. His frank talk about sex is refreshing and well-needed in a society in which openness about any sort of sexual activity or desires is censored from the public discourse. The book is also funny at times, with my particular favorite moment being his analogy that if a girl resists one of your moves in the bedroom, act like your character just died in a video game and simply hit the “restart” button.

A little later he complained that the book could have been longer. I’ve heard this from a couple people and I think it could be because the page count doesn’t account for the large page size and small text. Or maybe it’s a fast read because my writing is just so buttery smooth.

Several months ago during the early stages of writing Bang, I met a beta male who caused me to change the book. He was awkward and had poor conversational skills, and while I did not ask him about his sexual history, I would not be surprised if he was and still is a virgin. Based on the direction the book was going, would him and his buddies be covered? At the time I could not say yes. I thought about him for a few days and ended up adding more beef to the conversation and bedroom portions of the book. He is not aware of his contribution, and I don’t think he wants to be.

One of the hardest parts of writing the book wasn’t the actual writing, which was already in my head in the form of various memories, beliefs, and truths, but striking a balance where both the virgin and intermediate player would be taken to the next level, however distantly parallel those levels would be.

A section the inexperienced man will like is in the Late Game chapter where—in excruciating detail—I go over how to take off a girl’s clothes, including the ideal order of removal. When you are reading this part, imagine me thinking back to all the girls I had sex, trying to crack the most seamless pattern.

Next up are socks. First take off hers, then followed by yours. It’s very rare a girl will resist you taking off her socks. But if she does, simply skip this step and move on to the next one. Unlike most previous steps, taking off her socks is not necessary to continue because you can always try again later when more clothing is gone. Still, I imagine it would be awkward if you were having sex with a girl and her socks were on.

I hope to get at least one email from a guy who is devirginized because of my work. This is my contribution to the world.

I’m so used to instant feedback on the blog that it’s a little nerve racking having to wait for opinions on the book. Here’s the first review, posted on Lulu.

If you have never read any book on the subject this book is a highly recommend because it sequentially covers all aspects of attracting a girl. It talks about; confidence, approaching, cock blocks, phone game, logistics, conversation, dates, first kisses, removing clothing, relationships, and breaking up.

For people who have read other material, such as me, it’s still an enjoyable read largely due to he unique perspective of the author who lets you inside his head.

Some things that stood out for me…The phone game description is some of the best I’ve seen. Taking clothes off is something most authors skip, this author walks through it. The part of dumping a girl to maximize your chances of banging her later is great. Certain dating rules….

My only complain is that it was too short. It’s 140 pages, I read it in one day. The book has no fluff which is probably why I was able to read it non stop.

The intended readers are people who are not getting the results they want with their current methods or people who enjoys reading different perspectives on “game”. If you have never read anything on “game”, buy it immediately, there is logic to the madness.

Why

I have written a book that I wish I had when I graduated from college six years ago, one that would have helped me deal with a lack of pick-up experience and the girl wasteland that is working life. I knew the answer was not dating a girl from work, being set up on a date by my mom, or settling for the first girl who gave me attention, and since I was not blessed with a large social circle or generic good looks, I had to work hard and learn through trial and error when it came to approaching girls, talking to them, and moving things to the bedroom.

College is the highlight of most mens’ sex life, but thankfully it hasn’t turned out to be the highlight of mine.
