In support of my Brazil Compendium, I put together a little video from Iceland comparing Brazilian and Icelandic girls…

There should be no doubt in your mind about the superiority of Brazilian women. If you’re interested in learning more about them, learn more about the Brazil Compendium.

I’m regularly asked when I’m going to drop knowledge on Iceland. Unfortunately it’s taking longer than I thought to package my notes and stories into what’s turning out to be a huge series of posts. I don’t see that trickling out before May. The good news is once the orgasm begins, there will be nonstop ejaculation of travel data from multiple countries.

Since I know a bulk of you don’t care about travel topics, I’ll aim for no more than one travel post per week, but understand they will be a steady fixture on the blog as long as I’m on the road. I’m confident, though, that most of you will be entertained about how Scandinavian, Eastern European, South American, and American women all stack up, including tips on getting with the two former groups. I consider my current travels to be part of a perverted anthropological project that may result in my strongest work.

The other project I’m working on is the day game book, which I’m happy to say is progressing faster than I anticipated. My best guess right now is a July or August release.

A common question from last week’s release of Dead Bat’s epilogue was, “What kind of game did you use on Mariana?”

I describe how we met in the book, but it was just like any other approach. I didn’t do anything special or different. While I did feel a connection with her mighty quick, I can’t say I consciously made that happen. The law of averages says that a tiny percentage of approaches will go exceptionally well, and that approach in Rio happened to occur with a girl that I was attracted to more than any other girl I had ever met in my life. You may want to call me lucky, but if you’ve read the book, you can see how that good luck was balanced out by a lot of frustration and difficulty beforehand. The universe has a way of balancing itself out.

“Have you thought about going back to Rio?”

No, the ship has sailed. Maybe I made a mistake, but there’s no use dwelling on past decisions. I can only control what I do today, which is to put myself out there and grind it out until something clicks with another girl, no matter how long it takes.

I wanted to share two other things that I didn’t get a chance to last week. The first is a review from a guy who just read the book (personal details were omitted).

Roosh, just finished A Dead Pat in Paraguay while flying across the Pacific thus beginning my second big world adventure. How fitting. During the fourteen hour slog to New Zealand I laughed out loud several times generating looks from those poor souls folded up in the adjacent seats. Your intestinal issues were reminiscent of my time last year here in NZ where I contracted a parasite called Campylobacter. After three days of relentlessly shitting out my brains I received a call from a girl I had been lightly but persistently pursuing.

After assessing the state of my broken asshole, I concluded that meeting her should be fine provided I didn’t eat or drink anything. This was shortly after I discovered your website and “game.” After walking around the park she suggested we get a drink. Against my better judgement I agreed and we went to a nearby bar for a few beers. I was surprised at how well my stomach initially tolerated the beers and a couple of hours later we ended up at her place getting frisky. When we were mostly naked, I felt a stabbing stomach pain, emitted an eye-watering, paint-peeling, cloud of noxious gas in combination with shitting my underwear which also contaminated part of her bed sheets. Fuck me. She got pissed and I left with crushing shame and embarrassment— then she called two weeks later and apologized… flag shortly attained thereafter!

My connection with your writings of Argentina were also noteworthy. After spending a month there last year and two weeks this year I must say your descriptions of the women are amazingly accurate. On page 180, after reading “At that moment I believed in god because only an omnipotent being had the power to stop me from getting laid after all I’d done,” I laughed so loud that the guy on the plane sitting next to me asked met to keep it down… man I identified with that! Actually, my luck with the hostel gringo girls are usually good (especially this year in Mendoza), but the native Argentinian is a hard nut to crack. When I was living in BA I did get into a social group of upper-class late twenty somethings and ended up on a ten-day fling with a beauty.

Can’t say ADBIP is the next great american novel, but I was entertained and moved at the end. I identified with many tales and at times it seemed as though you were recounting parts of my traveling life. I consider it a worthwhile read. So did you ever offer to have Mariana come to the USA?

No, she loved Brazil and didn’t want to leave (a reason why I laugh when haters suggest girls date gringos like me for the “greencard,” as if everyone wants to come to America.) Most foreign girls I’ve dated were middle or upper class in their respective countries and didn’t care about the States besides wanting to check out New York City.

I’ve also recorded some thoughts of the new edition right from Icelandic headquarters in Reykjavik:

Well that wraps it up for the expanded edition. If you want to learn more, check out the homepage, which I recently had redesigned to match the new cover. You’ll find more details, sample pages, and reviews.

I wanted to give a little update on the day game book. I’m just about done with the second draft. We’re looking at a July release, but it will depend on how long it takes me to do venue diagrams in Visio, which I’ve never done before.

Either next month or March I’ll be releasing a compilation of sorts, and around that time you’ll start seeing Iceland posts, ranging from nightlife stories to in-depth analysis of the women. I’m hesitant to publish anything about Iceland until leaving to resist making premature conclusions. I have my apartment booked until early March.

Finally, there’s another book I have in early development that may be finished by the end of the year. It’s still early to tell but this may be one of my most productive years yet.

Last year you could have set a clock to my 13 posts per month output (156 posts for the year). I’d like to maintain that for this year, but I’m more willing to slow it down a bit if it means putting out more long-form projects.

Here are my ten favorite blog posts of 2010, with director commentary for each…

10. The Most Epic Email I Have Ever Received In My Life. I debated putting this email up because I knew that it would encourage my stalker even more (it did), but I just couldn’t resist sitting on something so incredibly hate-filled and awesome. If I ever write an autobiography, I’m going to open it with this email. I’d give it a title along the lines of “Game Works On Every Woman.”

9. The Totem Pole Of Race Attractiveness. After some eye-opening experiences in Brazil, I felt like it was my duty to inform you how you may want to account for your race when selecting which country to visit. Unfortunately not all men are seen as equal in the eyes of women, and being aware of that can maximize your poon pullability. That said, I’ve never selected a country based on how I think I’ll be received, and don’t think you should either unless you only have two weeks of vacation time a year.

8. 30 Types Of Pussy. I was originally going to post the pussy picture and write about my favorite pussy type, but I thought that would be lazy. Then I thought, How about if you write a description of each of the thirty pussies?! This post took the most amount of creative energy of anything else I’ve ever done, and I must’ve looked at the pussy image for over three hours, staring at the individual pussy types while patiently waiting until something popped in my brain. It was a frustrating experience, but I’m very satisfied with the result.

7. The Brazilian Movie Actress. I wanted to take a seemingly simple situation—”Guy meets girl in airport”— and turn it into a story, showing how complex an innocent meeting can be, especially when it’s happening between people of different backgrounds. This experience affected me, not necessarily because of the girl, but because it made me realize how difficult it is to meet someone you’re truly compatible with. Let’s say tomorrow you see a beautiful girl you like with the odds stacked wholly against you—what are you going to do about it? Make your attempt and hope for the best.

6. What’s Wrong With America. I had a lot of conversations with my Danish roommate about America, and wanted to piece them together so I’d have a place to send people when they ask me a question like, “Don’t you have pride for your country?” Obviously I’ve long since given up the idea of settling down in America. Now the problem is more about deciding where to expatiate.

5. The Future Of Game. Here I just wanted to share some game trends I think will firmly take hold. It is gloomy—I admit—and hopefully I’m wrong, but I still believe everything I wrote will indeed happen. As many guys have noted, it’s already happening.

4. The Medellin Diaries. When I went to Colombia, I started a daily journal to give me the option of developing another memoir. After a couple months I realized that my previous trip, which I wrote about in A Dead Bat In Paraguay, was special and unique. The newer trip would have resulted in a lesser book, so I stopped updating the journal and focused on doing Bang Colombia instead. A year later I opened up the journal and read through it for nostalgia’s sake, laughing at all the entries with Karl the Swede. I picked those out, added some more detail, and then called it The Medellin Diaries. It’s not so much a story but a little slice of two gringos living in Medellin.

3. The Bright Side Of Traveling. I originally planned one April Fools joke, but after spending some time in colonial Brazilian towns, I got the idea for a story about having sex with a sheep. I can’t say it was well-received, but it was one of my favorite posts of the year. I really tried to put myself in the story to make the sheep encounter as realistic as possible. I feel that I’ve captured the true essence of interspecies sex.

2. Just Keep Going. I received the most positive feedback on this post than any other, and lots of guys tell me they go back to search for it when they hit a tough patch. I wrote it as I was settling in Rio, when I had to start all over yet again after spending a good amount of time in Colombia. I remember last New Years Eve when I went out alone to the beach of Copacabana with no friends and no girls, with not even a decent prospect I could look forward to. I approached that night in my all-white outfit, got nothing, and then forced myself to go out the night after, when I met a girl that helped turn the tide. I wrote this post as a way to remind myself that no matter how tough things get… just keep going.

1. The United States Of Broken Women. The idea for this post came about at the end of summer, when all the foreign girls left the city and all that was left were scraps. They were turning me off from women completely, so I wanted to share how I felt about them, especially before I left the country (I leave for Iceland in eight days). It took me about a month to finish it.

You can see my other posts for the year at the archives page.

I want to leave you with something motivational for the new year. It’s an excerpt from the NLP book Frogs Into Princes, which I first read almost ten years ago.

Carlos Castenada is a whacko with an Indian friend. There’s a section in book two or three in which Don Juan gives a piece of advice to Carlos. We would not give this piece of advice to any of you, but we will repeat it for whatever it’s worth.

You see, what Juan wanted to do to Carlos—which we wouldn’t of course, want to do to you—was to find some way of motivating him to be congruent and expressive in his behavior at all times, as creative as he could be as a human being. He wanted to mobilize his resources so that each act that Carlos performed would be a full representation of all the potential that was available to him—all the personal power that he had that was available to him at any moment in time.

Specifically what Juan told Carlos was “At any moment that you find yourself hesitating, or if at any moment you find yourself putting off until tomorrow trying some new piece of behavior that you could do today, or doing something you’ve done before, then all you need to do is glance over your left shoulder and there will be a fleeting shadow. That shadow represents your death, and at any moment it might step forward, place its hand on your shoulder and take you. So that the act that you are presently engaged in might be your very last act and therefore fully representative of you as your last act on this planet.”

One of the ways you can use this constructively is to understand that it is indulgent to hesitate. When you hesitate, you are acting as though you are immortal. And you, ladies and gentlemen, are not. You don’t even know the place and the hour of your death.

And so one thing you can do… to remind yourself not to bother to hesitate… is to just suddenly glance over your left shoulder and remember that death is standing there, and make death your advisor. He or she will always tell you to do something representative of your full potential as a person. You can afford no less.

Happy New Year.

I decided to pick the lowest rated cover:

I made my decision to please the guy who left the following comment…

Can you pull this off? Can you honestly see yourself holding this book up in front of strangers and telling them that you wrote this book? Id snicker at the title. Hell I’m laughing now. The huuuuuuge frown on the “bats” face. HAHAHA. Fuck it, Roosh. Pick this one just to make me laugh.

Of course I didn’t select this cover, but I do like its whimsical, almost sad nature. Too bad it wasn’t well-received by the masses.

Out of the four covers I liked best, the first one I eliminated was 4, which was rated second-best by everyone.

Artistically it’s an incredible cover that captures your attention, but it’s too spiritual and doesn’t go at all with the book. A handful of voters made comments about the cover…

Seems pretnetious like you’re taking the whle I look like Jesus thing too far

…

Connotation for me is catcher in the rye, not the lady killer explorer feeling I think you want.

…

great artwork…love how the title was done, but the pic of you seems too much like some kind of fantasy novel…with sorcerers and goblins.

I eliminated 1 next. I thought the concept was clean and crisp, but a bit too minimalist. I needed something more emo.

The designer actually has a blog where he redesigns book covers for fun. It’s through his site that I invited him to participate in the contest.

It came down to 2 and 3. If I were a boss at a publishing house, the choice would be 2, since it’s a “safe” design that would appeal to the greatest number of people.

The typeface is magical and I really dig the Traffic-inspired yellow filter on the photo, which I took while in Rosario, Argentina, but unfortunately the cover didn’t really capture the mood of the book. (The designer behind it is a great guy I’ve used several times in the past.)

When I saw cover 3, I asked myself if the author read the book before he did the design. Here’s a reader comment that captures my sentiments:

This cover is “it” hands down. The dead bat leaving a flight trail behind in the shape of South America is just so elegant and ties into the title and theme so beautifully. The actual illustration of the bat, as well as the color scheme, gradient, and subtle line work in the background are well crafted as well.

I like how the dead bat has an almost comic feel to it, since the scene the book title refers to was a bit comical. This is the cover that says, “You’re about to read an amusing book that has its serious moments.” I feel good about my decision to go with cover 3, especially since it was rated highest by everyone who voted (by a hair). Honestly I could have picked any of these four covers and still been able to sleep well at night.

Here’s another comment:

i still like the original cover best; your book is not a wes anderson movie. you know your place in the zeitgiest – controversial, self-made from the internet. the original cover reflects that hustler’s attitude. the book was about the text, and i liked that the same mind who wasn’t afraid to spill his guts (and come out a bigger man than the rest of us) was the same one who said “fuck the cover” and just pasted the title and his face on the cover. if i had to choose, this one.

Funny thing is when I did the original cover I thought it was awesome, but I could no longer ignore all the complaints, along with evidence that cover does matter when it comes to sales. It may take a month until the cover is updated on Amazon, so if you’re thinking of buying the paperback, I’d hold off a little.

In other news, on November 15 I started writing the day game book. You can take a peek at my progress log (a little habit of mine is to track how many hours it takes to write a book). For the first draft I go for speed, just vomiting all over the keyboard. I slow it down when it comes time to edit.

No more bullshit—this book is finally happening. Looks like it’ll be about the same length as Bang.

Entries are in for the cover redesign contest!

I want a cover that not only is crowd-pleasing but also builds intrigue. If you’re in a coffee shop and you see someone reading a book with one of these covers, which one would make you want to learn more? Out of over 100 submissions, here are the four I like most:

1:

2:

3:

4:

After you’ve digested these, go here to vote, where you can also see six other finalists. You don’t need to rate each cover, but at least give your favorite cover five stars. I hope to decide by Sunday.

For those of you who already read the book, which cover do you think matches it best?

PREVIOUSLY: Part 1

What should I do with my life?

Please leave this disaster zone we call America, where the subtitle should be “We have everything but no one is happy”. After being born and raised in the US, I spent 2005-2009 in Peru. Never was I happier, or had more quality girls to bang, than there. I’m heading for Ecuador this coming January. I can’t wait to get back to that life.

Seems you’re finding your way….learning how to make money independently and mixing foreign travel with occasional trips back to the US (though you seem more and more disillusioned with america). i am very interested in your periodic posts about how you are too far down the path of bedding new women to ever get with a single girl. you’ve started to make me think that game mastery is ultimately self-defeating…a very fun ride to…nowhere

Who cares, just keep writing and making more funny videos (my all time favorite was the one about Medellin, fucking awesome!) [Read the video comments---many Colombians are wishing for my death.]

DC sounds like crap and it coloring your view of all America. I love Austin, Tx and the chicks are beautiful and usually cool, though of course we have our share of bitches, flakes, etc.. I don’t feel the same way that you do about America in general though. I am happy here. I don’t think I would be happy in DC though.

You should travel to Poland and report on your success with game. I went there 4 years ago and the quality of women in terms of appearance was the best I have seen anywhere (I have been to Brazil (Rio), Chile (Santiago), Hong Kong, and Italy as well as most major U.S. cities. Krakow and Cieszyn are unbelievable. I wasn’t very aggressive then, and had limited time, but I guarantee you’d appreciate the quality, and am wondering how much success you’d have.

I think you’re doing a pretty good job of leading an “examined” life. You seem a little hard on yourself, like you should be making a decision. Living in the moment is great, something I’ve learned from the 30 year old Colombian girl I’m currently dating, thanks to help from your blog :-)

Expand your empire. Destroy your enemies. Hear the lament of their women. Pulverize poon perpetually. What the fuck? Settle down? Make more money. Do more lifestyle experiments (not necessarily inside the realm of game), those are always wildly popular and help to get wider exposure.

You need a worthy challenge. No matter what city you go to, even if you find one where the women are the most amazing, beautiful, sexy, cultured, sophisticated, and secretly-dirty creatures ever, you’d still eventually become dissatisfied as long as your objective is simply to bang them all. A worthy pursuit… to a point. You’ve cracked Mother Nature’s code. You can get sex easily and will always be able to. Well done. But as we know, “success with women is more disillusioning than failure.” Perhaps you’re disillusioned. You’ve conquered something that has been engineered to be hard. And how do you define “success”? Just banging? Maybe. But you’ve conquered that realm. So what if you move the goal lines?

I obviously don’t know you, so take it with a grain of salt, but you seem to have some attachment to the people in your life and moving across the world can wreak havoc on that. It has it’s perks of course, but be prepared for relationships with friends and family to take a hit.

Dude, go to NYC for 6 months. It’s increasingly where your readership is. And imagine how many more readers you’ll gain once you’re writing about gaming in NYC. You’ll tire of it eventually, but it would be a great change of pace. Not the cheapest place you could go, but may well pay back as an investment in your business.

American empire is crashing, things will only get worse for the majority of people. if you have the means to leave, which you do, i suggest you skip town.

I personally think the US is on the decline and it will take some time to recover. If you have a decent income stream, the quality of life can be much better in south america or some parts of asia. if my spanish was better, i’d move to colombia or buenos aires. but i don’t have an income stream.

Four months in DC, four months in a foreign country, four months somewhere else, every year. Variety is the spice of life. If you live in a foreign country for more than a year or so it will lose its luster.

Your view of American women is skewed because of your location. I lived in Virginia for 4 years when I was in college, and it was the worst experience of my life. Terrible women, terrible weather, terrible people. I moved to Los Angeles after I graduated and traveled the country for a half year. Los Angeles is filled with beautiful women, interesting people, and good times. I don’t see myself going anywhere for a very long time. Amazing place to be.

Complain to me about things you don’t like about me or my blog. Don’t hold back!

You cross the line at times. Hyperbolic comments about women are generally not true, and they feed the minds of men who are too stupid to appreciate the humor without taking it as commentary on the true nature of women. I prefer the company of men who want to reverse-engineer women’s minds in order to have lots of sex, yet are sophisticated, and not woman-haters (even if we hate that they don’t want what we want). The more misogynistic stuff leads to more idiots commenting. I enjoy a little misogynistic humor myself, but only when it’s pretty close to the truth. I understand that’s a tough trick to pull off though.

For the love of god no more tits or vaginas without warning. I like to read your blog at work and not get fired.

Release the Day game book already.

You’re getting old. Half of your posts are over my head. The Xtramoral stuffs good.

Too focused on easy girls. Not a big deal, since the principles are the same. But you do seem low on patience. I’m not looking for one-nighters myself. Also you need to eat better. Try watching Anthony Bourdain or something.

More photos in the posts man. It’s the 21st century and everyone wants to see a graphic even if your talking about some girl you banged and you don’t have a photo, throw in a dog photo or something, just to add something.

You could calm down on the criticism on american women. I think we get the picture. They leave a lot to be desired, but for most of us we have to figure out how to deal with them. Also some of your english is lacking in correct grammar. No big deal though.

Your writing style could use more professionalism.

I don’t like you stalling on projects. Hurry up and get that Day Game Booklet out!!!!!!!!!!!! Your taking your sweet ass time; I could be dead tomorrow in this busy ass city!

Stupid pop-up box on the website even after I have signed up for the newsletter.

I’d appreciate a greater frequency of posts.

I liked that dark side of game post, and the dialogue where you were emo and not sure you wanted to game anymore. Gaming dumb chicks kind of bores me, even if they are hot. Did any hot chick actually engage your mind? When did you start feeling something almost real? A little more vulnerability would be nice. When did you crack?

The misogynist posts aren’t really entertaining. If you don’t like women, why dedicate so much time to them? Monks seem quite content.

Your blog and Bang are bringing out the best (and worst) in me. Sometimes I’m not sure if I like what I am becoming but results don’t lie.

I think I might be attracted to you if I met you, but then I’d be quickly turned off because you don’t have a job.

In general, I’d like you to be more upbeat on your blog. When you talk about travelling, or your happiness at the success of your books/workshops, you write with a really clean and infectious enthusiasm. I want to take your workshops just to see you on top form gleefully clearly getting a high out of teaching and using microphone tech and stuff! However, when you talk about women it comes across as bitter and sometimes even poisonous.

I don’t get much out of the interviews. I go to your site because i dig your writing style and your attitude on life. Reading about other game heros and their amazing rock star lives is not interesting to me.

You don’t make your position about flip flops clear enough

Dude, let yourself go and travel more. I have been living overseas for 8 years and haven’t had the desire to go back even once since then. It is hard for me to understand your urge to return to seemingly “recharge the batteries” — family and friends there not withstanding. GOING BACK would be a total battery drain for me. I make my family and friends come visit me if they want to see me, otherwise tough shit. You heart is free… learn to follow it.

Firstly i would like to say that your abundance of coarse, Persian facial hair reinforces the cave-manish and Neanderthal-like nature of your thinking. Your greasy locks have also caused me to rescind my belief in Christianity, as i can not reconcile the fact that an egomaniacal misogynist such as yourself shares the same external visage as Jesus.

You have a blog? I that was an ad for your book.

I miss the economic posts, i would like to see your opinon on Obama, illuminati, etc. The only question I have is since your core business revolves about you bedding the ladies what will happen if you decide to setle down? Which will then be your income flow? Don´t leave all your eggs in one basket.

I don’t like your regular bashing of capitalism/consumer culture, which fuels your existence and is responsible for your income. Your complaints and writings on the subject just sound juvenile and uninformed, like some college kid who has never experienced anything in the world. You’re better than that. Your computer and the tools you use to disseminate your writing, your readers’ computers, etc. all come from this.

I find some of your viewpoints a little sociopathic at times, and think you could refrain from (for instance) writing things like how to cheat successfully. A real man ought not lie about that sort of thing; it’s a form of cowardice, not to mention unjust.

Stroke my hairy balls a little and tell me what you like about my work or things I should keep doing.

I enjoy your writing style, especially your stories like Medellin diaries. I generally agree with your world-view, and it is interesting to read your opinions and experienced based views, and realize that I have formed very similar views on my own, in my own life experience, (validation is perhaps the best term?). I like how you are not afraid to step out from behind the curtain so to speak, and show your readership a little about you the real human, verses hiding behind the internet. This seems to have been a theme for you all along but few others do it. On a side note I’m very impressed that you’ve been able to keep the momentum and mental energy flowing for over 5 years as it seems many fade out quickly. Keep up the good work. I think you are a quality writer and would enjoy reading your work (and future books) even outside of the genre of travel and game. Perusing the old DCB archives I noticed you used to give your opinions on all sorts of different topics and current events, which I enjoyed. I think I may have seen this on another comment, but it’s your personality which shines through your words, regardless of topic, that is entertaining and keeps me interested. Like talking to a good buddy, that i never met. Cheers.

Consistently entertaining PUA blog (among the very best), and because you’re willing to discuss odds and the amount of work necessary for the typical guy to get a lay, you have more credibility to me than any other source out there giving me advice on PUA. Thanks man!

I think you take a lot of shit in the comments that is undeserved. keep up the good work

You are god, your advice on game simply works, nuff said.

I’ve enjoyed your no frills approach to explaining how to get laid. You system helped me land more top notch pussy than I could have ever imagined. Taking girls out on dates to dive bars, places which I already frequent, has become a religion and helped me to break away from the crutches of one night stand and social circle game. I salute you for being the first to easily explain the process of “dating” women for the sole purpose of banging them. It has been life changing.

I like that your straight forward and to the point and tell things how it is. I like people that are real. You are real.

Your success is based on your truthfulness. (That’s why you have female followers, for example.) So keep it up!

You call it like it is. Your advice is geared more towards actual pickup rather than other PUAs who pretend to know a lot but just parrot out some meaningless advice and only seem interested in selling their next product.

I bought bang with no expectations and was blown away. I’ve lent it to friends but always ask for it to be returned (unlike any other book I’ve ever lent out). Recently I’ve used both your txt message and flying solo guides to get laid. I read your twitter and if you gave a field lesson in NYC I’d sign up in a second. In the beginning when you wrote that women should “serve” their men I thought “this guys clearly a misogynist”. But I realize I couldn’t have been more wrong. You don’t hate women, you love them. And those negative thoughts were the product of years and years of liberal feminist garbage being force fed to me. Castration is a side effect of living in NYC. After reading Bang I started to hit the gym, took a few Thai kick boxing classes, etc now I’m in amazing shape and I get laid like never before. Thanks for helping me get some testosterone back.

Its the best pua blog for motivation. I think that you are a great teacher. I have a feeling that most guys need help on that initial cold approach. Its that courageous leap that prevents most from accomplishing what they desire. If you can articulate what is or what is not going through your mind at that moment it would be beneficial to your readership. Break down that speedbump for us, and experience will teach us the rest.

I like your writing. I’m a former chief editor of a national magazine, still contribute regularly to magazines, and won’t put up with bad writing — yours isn’t. I would buy a piece from you if I were still in the market, and you were covering something I could use.

Keep up the dead on analysis of just how non-complex girls really are even though they pretend with great facades to be some sort of vault.

I like it that you put links in your posts that take me to older, slightly relevant posts. Nice variety of topics, and thanks for keeping politics out of it.

Always well written and perceptive. I think you could easily create a empire by taking you understanding of human interaction and using to teach business skills. How much fun that would be I don’t know, but I believe you have the option.

Bashing the bullshit sense of entitlement all western women have. Providing inspiration. Travel, language learning, writing, slamming pussy. Combining them. Don’t stop now.

You’re blunt. You”re aimed directly at my demographic. I don’t have to suffer through the Race-baiting that occurs at multiple other PUA sites. You”re humble. You’re willing to try to cover a subject throughly in one post instead of just mentioning one thing and dropping it. You seem chill.

You, unlike any other game blogger, talk about stuff regular guys can do. You are not all pretentious, I can see myself being like you in a gaming situation. Keep it real like that.

Congrats for creating and awesome forum, especially the travel forum. I am looking forward to try and meet up with some of the other users one day. But also the other subparts of the forum are good – that and the tim ferriss blog really keeps me updated with everything worth getting to know on the net and IRL.

I read “The Game” 3 years ago, which was significant to me because it made me believe that it was possible that a regular guy could do this successfully. But I was twisting in agony until I bought “Bang” two years ago. My socially life is twenty times richer. Seriously. Sincere thanks.

You’re writing style is excellent, as are your storytelling skills (several have had me riveted until the end). Overall your blog is fucking awesome. Seriously, you have no idea how much more of a man I’ve become since reading it. You were a large factor in my decision to quit my job and go traveling, one the best decisions I’ve ever made (albeit for different reasons than you usually have). My attitude towards and the way I treat women since I’ve been reading has changed, with positive results. Keep up the good work, we need more blogs like this.

Your travel adventures are the best. They are the optimal vehicle for you to discuss game, hone your story telling skills and have adventures. It allows others to live vicariously through you. You are an inspiration in that regards.

I like the semi-detached writing style of many of your anecdotes. i like your continued unwillingness to be phony. i like your commitment to reject others’ expectations for you and to do your own thing. i always appreciate your wit and candor. i’ve noticed an increase, however, in emotion regarding your exploits; namely, disgust. while on the surface, one would think it’s disgust with the women involved, i suspect a small degree of latent self-loathing is involved. this is new. examine this possibility, objectively.

I was randomly searching about argentina girls on google, which led me to your blog (and board), where i was first really introduced to real game, which led me to a trip in south america which was the best time of my life. thank you man.

“Bang” has the best practical outline for building things up from a foundational level that I’ve ever read.

I live a similar lifestyle as you so I find your blog fascinating. You talk about things I think about but never publicly say.

Your no-bullshit approach is extremely refreshing. Whereas many PUA Community guys make outlandish claims about being able to fuck any girl they want, I appreciate that you might put up a post (e.g. your Belo Horizonte post) where you say that even after years in the game you still have off-nights. This has undoubtedly given me more confidence than any of the hyped-up “Get laid now!” shit you see on other pickup sites. Although I can see some evidence of influences from famous PUAs in your work, your blog stands apart because it isn’t full of geeky acronyms and pretentious bullshit like you get on some sites — I’d much prefer to be a player than a “PUA”. I found “Bang” to be a very complete, analytical, straitforward resource which covered all the basics very well, and your posts about South America genuinely helped me with the girls when I travelled there. You have a dry sense of humour similar to my own which makes the blog consistently fun to read.

On the other hand, when you rip American girls I get a certain satisfaction knowing that you have female readers as well and by telling them just how incapable of pleasing a man they really are you’re bringing down their egos just that much more.

I like the way you are able to cover a myriad of topics, like balancing poignant insights on the human condition, with articles such as 30 types of pussy! (lol) I come to this site for entertainment purposes, procrastination (my failure at university will be attributed to you) and to gain an understanding into the internal machinations of men. What you write highlights my naivete with things and sometimes makes me sad. But you are to be commended for your honesty.

I’m a student in London, there are more nationalities represented by the student body here that the UN. Currently I have about 5 girls in the kitty, a Brazillian, a Californian, an English born Chinese, a German and a Thai. You’re observations have been proven again and again, the Brazillian is by far the most feminine, and knows how to treat a Man, whereas the Californian is awkward, un-feminine and cold, needing to drink herself silly in order to feel comfortable around a Man.

Your blog is good enough, out of the hundreds of millions of blogs out there, that I choose to read it and that I care about it enough to fill in this survey for you. What else do you really need?

You wrote one of the best game books ever. I hope to someday see a chart that shows a precipitous rise in STDs starting the day it was published that baffles scientists forever.

None of this inner game bullshit and how to become the “old spice man” by thinking positive and reading Ayn Rand. I like your approach where you run the numbers and tell it how it is.

You have definitely found a purpose in life, and you are doing a good job motivating others to live better lives.

Your game advice is brilliant and has absolutely gotten me bangs. For that I am very grateful and will continue to gobble up everything you have to say about how to fuck women. We seem very similar in outlook and I enjoy your travel stories and musings on American society. Your advice on gaming foreign countries has been invaluable (I have spent about 6 months in South America and find your insights to be largely correct) and something I haven’t seen anywhere else in the game community. Keep it up!

I love the dynamic between your blog and Roissy in DC; he lays out the theory; you show how it works in the field. Enough to hit his tip jar when he had one and to pay $ for Bang.

Despite what some of these lame beta supplicators complain about periodically, I LIKE that your blog isn’t just about “game.” Game isn’t just lines and routines. It’s about how you live your fuckin’ life and how you think. You get that, and mad props for it.

I continue to think that your greatest strength when it comes to writing about game is that you sound like a regular guy and that your conquests are attainable for the regular man, albeit with much hard work. You don’t pretend that you have always been a ladies man and you don’t pretend that you never make mistakes.

I enjoy your writing style more than anything and your cruel, dark, dry sense of humor. Funny posts that illuminate your indifference to the modern man make my day.

I’ve always thought of myself as a “normal” guy. If any man had my experiences, I figured, they’d make the same observations and come to the same conclusions. But then I noticed that some guys who have much more experience than me in some fronts (e.g. having more notches, living in a country longer than I have), do not see things as clearly as I do. Over the past couple of years I’ve realized that my gift is being able to make correct conclusions and generalizations in a short amount of time. I wrote Bang Colombia after six months of living there—just imagine if I can provide that caliber of advice after staying somewhere for only one or two months.

Thank you to those of you who took the survey.

Here’s a brief summary of the multiple choice results:

95.3% of you are men. Sausage party!

60% of you are between 22 and 32 years old.

Out of those of who own an iPhone or Android phone, 55.7% are likely to buy a Roosh app.

88.5% of you think field reports would help your game.

21.2% would likely buy an audiobook edition of Bang.

Only 14.7% own an e-reader. Most of you do not plan on buying one anytime soon.

64.6% of you would not mind if I released a book in ebook format only.

About half of you like the current mix of game, travel, and lifestyle posts. A third wants to see more game posts.

40.8% of you do not know I have a Twitter account.

7.2% of you do not know I have a newsletter.

Two-thirds of my readers are begging for more reenactment videos.

2.8% of you want me to commit suicide.

Before doing the survey I had ideas for three separate iPhone apps. The results only confirmed that it’s something you guys would be interested in, but then I did some research on the Apple approval process and realized that there is zero chance my apps would be improved, even if I toned them down. I guess what I’ll do is wait a year or two for Android to get more popular and write apps for it instead. Fucking Steve Jobs has deferred my dreams! On the bright side I don’t have to install iTunes bloatware on my computer.

Now let’s look at the write-ins. Keep in mind I only was able to display a fraction of the comments I received. Just because you don’t see yours here doesn’t mean it didn’t penetrate my being.

How do you feel about ebooks?

Who wants to read on a tiny gay screen.

Depends on the book. Throwaway reads are ok but I like having books I go back to on paper. Any kind of DRM makes them useless and I wouldn’t take them for free.

I like the privacy of ebooks; nobody knows what you’re reading

I work away from home (Englishman in France). A Kindle means I get immediate delivery of ebooks via 3G. I have >100 books on it at the moment which I can carry where and when I want. ebook IS the future

It won’t really take off till they combine them with smartphones.

Kindle is amazing. All my jackets have inside pockets, it slides right in. I look down on fellow public transportation riders who stare off into the distance, wasting their lives waiting for a bus. I think the Kindle is enough to get people reading again who would otherwise not, and game is enough to turn betas into alphas. They go hand-in-hand. Brilliant.

dictionary function is cool for all the big words you use [Editor's note: Do I sense sarcasm?]

Ever since the time Amazon deleted versions of “1984″ on people’s Kindles, I’ve decided to NEVER buy an e-book reader.

To be perfectly honest, I like ebooks because you can download them for free from third party sites

How do you feel if I released future books in electronic format only?

Ebooks make me think of self published wana-be hucksters.

I am ready to remit money only by post, not online [I get emails like this all the time.]

Whatever is cheaper

Do not use DRM on your ebook. It will greatly restrict the number of people who can read it (B&N DRM is not compatible with Amazon, for example). Those who want to steal text will do it from PDF anyway. [None of my current electronic editions contain DRM, even the Kindle versions]

A few years from now printed books will be very rare. In the new version of Fahrenheit 451 they’ll be deleting hard drives….

Real paper books are more respectable

Does Amazon have the new edition of Bang yet? I want to buy it, but don’t want to get the old edition by mistake. [Yes it does.]

Do you think I’m achieving a good content mix on my blog?

Your posts on how American women suck get a little repetitive. We all know it’s true, but continually posting on it is unnecessary. More ACTUAL game posts, please.

You have a good mix, but I like your blogs on game the most, your travels are interesting but I don’t know how applicable they are to me bc I don’t international travel that much and the lifestyle is nice but I respect that we have 2 different lifestyles (which is ok, I’m not trying to copy you)

Your not about Travel or liefstyle man, sorry. Your about fucking bitches (game) and that is what makes you best. If you going to do something travel related it has to be all about the game inside of it. Like how Naughty Nomad does the city guides for places around the world but it’s all there just to help you game more.

Maybe it’s just me, but I’ve read most of all I’ll ever need to read about game, but I would never get tired of reading about lifestyle and travel.

Your experiences abroad are far more entertaining and informative than those of the local variety.

Your mix is fine, but as a writer/intellectual with definite plans for global travel, I’d like to hear more about your vagabond artist mindset.

Maybe it’s just where i’m at in my life, but I completely skip your travel posts.

I’d especially like to see more practical traveling advice – “this is what I did to not get mugged,” “your best option for travel in s/a or afr. is such-and-such,” and “here’s how to make fast friends with couch surfing hosts so you can keep it up”

You don’t talk about politics much these days. If possible, try to talk about it even less.

I like the life philosophy posts you put up, they break it up very well. The travel ones are good, but make me feel shit for how little places I have been.

Something about how to find yourself.

Game and lifestyle posts are the main reason I read your blog. The travel stuff is cool too, but I find the travel posts I enjoy the most also have elements of game and lifestyle woven in.

Game should always be the backbone of your blog’s content but I’d also like to see more posts about gaming in foreign countries and I think this is a unique aspect of your blog that greatly adds to its appeal.

The game and travel posts are the core or your blog’s appeal. I’m having trouble recalling lifestyle posts which were not all but about travel or game. So I guess I’d advocate upping the game posts until you get to travelling again, otherwise the blog starts to lean a bit much towards the ‘life’ posts

Maybe you could also share thoughts on game on underage girls? i am sixteen years old and still have to do some improvising

What is your verdict on the teddy bear reenactment videos?

I would never look at freakin’ teddy bear do anything.

They’re ok but it wouldn’t be the end of the world if you stopped doing them.

The personal crisis one was a window into your soul.

They’re all fucking hilarious. I have a picture of you in my mind as a guy with dead-pan delivery, and the videos match that expectation and reinforce it. They’re hilarious + informational.

Ah, where to begin. I love direct game one “are you scared? because I’m not”. I like the idea that maximum ballage can take you places. The follow up with your sister is great too. The jilted, previously banged chic one was also excellent. Of the ones not contributed by you, Roissy’s was the best, though being a regular reader of his as well certianly helps. That lawyer shit never gets old.

Pretend my blog is a radio show and you can call in any post you want. What is the title of a post you would like to see in the future?

Losing your virginity

First impressions from a Silvio Berlusconi late night private party (with pictures)

Rooshv moves to location with better weather and hotter girls. Stops complaining.

Hot girls that know they’re hot.

It’s that time again. Many of you probably remember the 2009 Reader Survey a year-and-a-half ago. I asked dozens of questions with the intention of trying to construct a profile of my average reader.

This time I want to primarily learn two things:

1. The type of content you want to see in the future. I have a few ideas in mind, including cell phone apps.
2. Which format you like to read books on. I’m seeing decreasing importance with paperback among my readers.

The 2010 survey is short and shouldn’t take more than five minutes to complete, and your input will help me decide how to prioritize and release future projects. If you have a couple minutes to spare then I’d appreciate it if you click here to take the 2010 reader survey. All responses are anonymous. Like before, I’ll share later.

Last week was mostly promotional for the second edition of Bang. It case you missed it:

Monday: I shared details of the new edition, especially the text messaging section
Wednesday: I discussed the gloomy future of game
Friday: I gave the most optimal method for studying any game resource

I received a lot of emails from guys who missed Wednesday’s newsletter that included a download link to the text messaging guide. I’m going to send it again one more time this Friday, so fill out the newsletter sign-up page by then (or the form at the bottom of this post) to receive it for free.

With this major project completed, it’s time to edit my life schedule…

<strike>July: Complete text messaging guide</strike>
September—December: Complete epilogue to A Dead Bat In Paraguay. Start day game book rough draft. Prepare for next trip.
January: New trip

As you can see I’ve simplified my plans from before. I’ve been getting the itch to go to Brazil for the winter and actually started planning for it, but as of right now I think it’s best to suffer through a DC winter to get the day game book off the ground. If I go to Brazil again I may get stuck there forever, yet I still want to visit other parts of the world. This decision is tearing me up inside, so I’ve stopped listening to Brazilian music because of the pain it causes.

On a sad note I’ve started charging for Bang Colombia (same price as A Dead Bat In Paraguay). I don’t have the audience size where a donation model would bring enough money to support projects like it. The donation rate was respectable (2.5% with an average donation of just under $6), so I may experiment with it again in the future.

On a positive note, in July, a month when I didn’t release anything new, I sold just over 300 copies of my books. Considering that in 2008 I sold on average 40 copies a month, this is an exciting development. It has given me the confidence and financial support to focus exclusively on writing. I haven’t worked for the man in three and a half years.

From a business standpoint, writing Bang Colombia was a big risk. How many of my readers have thoughts of visiting Colombia in the next year or two? I’ll be surprised if it was more than 50. That means I spent many months writing a book for a few dozen people. Why didn’t I work on my day game book first, which is much more likely to be a financial success?

A couple years ago I realized that you have to write a book because of some duty that calls within you, whether you think the result will be successful or not. I simply had to write Bang Colombia before anything else. I wrote a game book, wrote a travel memoir, lived abroad, dated a lot of South American women—it’d be a waste of experience for me not to.

Anyone who has wrote a book knows it has to be more than about the money. There has to be a calling that drives you to grind it out in front of a screen for hundreds of hours when a million other professions would pay you more for much less frustration. In the end you have to be proud of what you do regardless of what your bank statement says. Otherwise you’re a sellout and a hack.

As for the future, my plans are finally falling into place after a rather aimless start back in the States. I’m horrendous at keeping schedules, but here’s what I want to do in the next year:

July: Complete text messaging guide
August-October: Complete day game book rough draft
November: Complete epilogue to A Dead Bat In Paraguay
December-January: Complete 2nd draft to day game book
February: Prepare for next trip
March: Eastern Europe? Ethiopia and the Middle East? Brazil?
April-June: Finalize day game book while abroad

I’ve already written the outline to the day game book, so it’s just a matter of hauling my ass to the coffee shop for dreaded marathon sessions that I haven’t had to do since A Dead Bat In Paraguay. To hold you over until I’m done with it, check out the day game tips in my newsletter and also in Bang Colombia.

In Brazil I wrote a very rough draft to an unnamed game book which I was thinking of releasing next, but based on its subject matter it’d be more logical to get the day game book out first. So you’ll see two more game books from me hopefully soon and then I think I’ll take a hiatus for a little while. I’ll go live in a quiet village for a couple months or something. Maybe I’ll pick up with some fiction or more travel writing after that.

I’m not lifting a finger until after the holiday. Then it’s going to be like I have a full time job. At least for a little while.

Today marks exactly five years since I launched DCBachelor.com (I did have a blog before that but it was more of a little diary for friends than the game resource it morphed into starting with DCB). Let’s take a trip down memory lane and then talk about the future. I’ve also included a photo from each year to document my metamorphosis.

FIRST YEAR

Two early posts that started getting me attention were whores vs conservative girls and how to get free drinks at Starbucks. By the third month of operation I already had multiple haters and the more I hated on others, the more I got hated on. Go figure.

The blog started taking direction with these posts:

Brooke Shields Part 1, Part 2

Women Dating Tips

American Women Vs European Women (my most commented post)

You Will Die Alone

Why Mediocre Women Desire Hot Men

Most Women Are Only Suitable For One Night Stands

Bad Game Vs Good Game

Stop Wearing Flip Flops

At the time there were fewer posts about game than recaps of happy hours and club nights.

The big drama of the year was my epic blog war with “The Senator,” which is nicely documented on this wiki page. Upon winning I took a triumphant victory lap. He has not been seen on the internet since.

The blog wars of yesteryear were far more artfully done and went for emotional impact instead of merely posting private information. Today any slackjawed retard with an internet connection can post someone’s address, but it takes actual brains to force someone’s blog offline with taunts that bring about immense shame and embarrassment. In fact if you have to resort to posting someone’s private information you’ve already lost, because in the end all you’re doing is… posting information.

My favorite post of the year would be Glengarry Glen Ross remix, which was to serve as something you can read before going out. My April Fools gag was getting fired from work.

SECOND YEAR

The blog began to affect my dating life as more girls found out about it. It’s also this time that I started having my first blog groupies (giddy).

I had some guest posters: Sally the intern, Dasha the intern, Chaco, and Miss Metropolis, who you may know as DC nightlife queen Kelly Ann Collins. The hate on them was often vicious.

My rocky relationship towards American women continued with posts like why are you out, diamonds, if I was a girl, and two and out. I even sold t-shirts that read “I Pump And Dump.”

My favorite game posts were the tight game week series, status, and womanly advice.

Besides that I took a blow up doll to the beach and Dupont Circle, made women cry with this post, went to Spain, started thinking about moving abroad with discussion on international women, was saddened by someone’s death, started the player or poseur series, introduced the cost per notch, moved the domain to RooshV.com, and started a new blog called Furball Approved where I’d post funny videos that were reviewed in the voice of my cat. It only lasted a few weeks.

My two favorite posts of the year were my wisdom teeth story and my rules of life. For April Fools I tried to convince you that I was gay.

I had my full name and job posted on the blog of a gay man, who begged his readers to contact human resources. But his information was dated and he ended up posting the place I worked at several months prior. His attempts to destroy me failed, obviously, and I think it all stemmed from the fact that I rebuffed his advances at a blogger happy hour. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.

His/her blog was dead last time I checked.

THIRD YEAR

Blogging continued to affect my sex life while I learned that women who showed affection made me happier. I bashed Americans, introduced the flag metric, started learning Spanish, and got tired of women who think they understand women better than men.

Three big events this year: I quit the corporate grind, went to South America, and released Bang. There weren’t many game posts because of the energy that went into the book, but I do like seven ways to improve your game, hung up on the opener, and playful vibe.

My experience in South America led to these popular posts:

Thoughts

Guiding Principle Of Male-Female Relations

10 Common Travel Scams

School Of Argentine Girls

Brazilian, Argentine, and American girls

Introduction To Brazilian Girls

That last one is the most visited post on the blog right now.

South America beat me up, I came home, and so began the healing process.

While it was a very exciting year for me, it was the worst year for my blog. The content wasn’t that great and I alienated my core audience by writing more about travel than game (it’s no suprise that the year saw the blog’s lowest traffic). I don’t have a favorite post and even my April Fools gag was weak (starting a new blog called Puppy Dogs & Ice Cream).

After this third year I realized that even if I win the Nobel Prize in Physics I’m still expected to mostly write about game. I’ve accepted that. You know there’s things you want to do (have a video blog starring a cat) and then there’s things that you’re good at.

FOURTH YEAR

Back at home I was lost all love for D.C. and realized I wasn’t going to meet the perfect woman, though their easiness did keep me heavily in the game for the next year.

I gave women advice, continued to piss people off (I even detailed the strategy of my haters), was more careful about where I deposited my seed, stopped caring about if a girl orgasms or not, bashed Americans and feminists, shared a masturbation strategy, was a hot girl for a night, stopped taking showers, gave my friend parenting tips, became seriously uninspired with American girls, and got so enraged with cockblocking that I offered a way to stop it for good.

Also I made a travel blog (that is sort of dead at the moment), went to Las Vegas with Virgle Kent, opened the forum (which has become pretty active), put out my philosophy on life, wrote a short story, bartended, made a few videos, put a lot of work into my newsletters, and started teaching workshops on day game.

My favorite game post from the year is how to pick up girls for real, though overall I’d have to go with the perfect woman post. The April Fools gag was moving to Rio for a girl.

This year I considered taking a lengthy break from blogging, but it was more about dissatisfaction with where I was in life at the moment than a dislike towards writing.

FIFTH YEAR

BOOM! KABLAM!

At the risk of letting my ego talk, I think this last year was my best yet. My thinking was clear and my experiences rich, making it somewhat easy to consistently put out good content. I like so many posts that I’m not sure where to start.

I advised you not to date girls who like poetry (e.g Poetry Girl), talked about girls who faked about knowing my blog, dropped some more Argentine girl knowledge, wrote a letter to Virgle Kent, expressed an interest in needy girls and a disinterest in girls who love to eat out, talked about a magical land where lemons are green, got on men’s rights guys while musing about what it takes to be a real man, shot down the idea of banging prostitutes, got stalked by a girl I creampied on a Colombian bus, and defended the honor of a Brazilian guy who got cockblocked by a fat pig

American women got a lot of blog space this year. I wondered about the best age to date one, complimented their easiness while defending the idea of travel to countries that have harder women, responded to a man-bashing older woman, got on feminists who wanted to make bad pick-up lines punishable by jail time, hypothesized about why their brains are damaged, identified one of their universal problems, criticized them for looking like shit while traveling and having children while single, and brought it all home with a conversation about what’s wrong with America.

I also taught a reality workshop, gave an introduction to Buddhism, did a big site survey, put out a video on Medellin, Colombia, shared my dune buggy adventure in a Brazilian beach town while offering travel tips of the northeast and the city of Vitoria, gave a strategy for living abroad, tried to motivate you, shared my system for learning a foreign language, and released my second book.

I closed comments for six months and while everyone says it was a mistake, I’m satisfied that I stayed motivated to blog without the instant feedback and validation. The thirst to share wisdom is within me. (Fun fact: I’ve banned 39 IP addresses since bringing comments back, and put a dozen others in the moderation doghouse.)

My favorite post of the year was what are you waiting for though I really did like how the dune buggy story turned out. The April Fools gag was going to Ethiopia to feed starving children. It absolutely cannot be topped.

Creatively it was a good year and I’m proud that I was focused and disciplined enough to dig all of it out of my huge, throbbing brain. As a result the blog is receiving the most traffic it ever has.

THE FUTURE

My goal here is not win awards for my writing but deliver ideas and experiences in a way that you can learn, understand, apply, or be entertained from. While I’ve said most of what I wanted to say about game, American girls, and South America, I still think I have things left to contribute. As long as I push myself outside of my comfort zone (i.e. stints living abroad), there should always be cool ideas popping in my head.

I don’t know exactly when but I do see myself cutting down on posting from three times a week to eventually two and then one. I think this is inevitable for those bloggers who have been doing it for so many years, as you simply cannot keep up production (and motivation) from your peak. I don’t see this as a bad thing though: as long as the quality remains strong I think you’ll still get a lot of value. In the meantime I plan on putting out a few more books, and I’m currently working on two simultaneously.

Lastly, I wanted to thank everyone for their support over the past five years, for buying my books, taking my workshop, linking my posts from your blogs, and leaving encouraging comments and emails. Otherwise my life would be probably be very different. Thank you.

Here’s to another five years.

P.S. I'm huge on Twitter, with over 1 billion followers. Click here to check out my feed.

“So Roosh, what have you been doing since you finished A Dead Bat In Paraguay?”

I’m glad you asked.

I have completely overhauled all my game tips newsletters. I gave them a new look, edited for clarity and typos, removed fluff, and added new moves and techniques. That may not sound like a big job but all my newsletters combined clock in at 47,000 words, only 13,000 words shy of Bang.

If you’re already subscribed you’ve probably already seen the new design. Something new is that for each edition I throw in a different quote I like.

Here’s a sampling of the emails you’ll receive if you sign up:

How to handle flakey girls

How to pick up girls in coffee shops

The one thing that makes girls see you as more confident

An easy way to isolate a girl in a bar

When is the best time to approach a girl?

How to pick up girls on the street

The reason why she isn’t calling you back

Simple move to defeat bedroom resistance

There are over 30 more editions with tips on day game, night game, approaching, venue selection, conversation tips, dating strategy, and sealing the deal. My newsletters are basically a free book on game that you get in snippets at regular intervals. I don’t share your email address with anyone and you can unsubscribe at any time. Sign up on the forum below…

It’s been six months since I’ve had comments on the blog. The main reason I took them off was because I felt that the signal to noise ratio was too low.

For the past month or so I allowed comments on my posts over in the forum. It hasn’t been extremely active but there was some good discussion and only twice did things get somewhat a little out of hand, but even then it wasn’t the hate-fest that regularly went on here (part of which I take blame for due to my sometimes passionate style of writing).

So I did some thinking and came up with a simple idea: have a clear rule that encourages good discussion. Here’s what you’ll see just above the comment button tomorrow:

Criticism is fine, but be respectful. If you wouldn’t read your comment outloud to its intended recipient in his or her home then don’t post it. Comments that break this rule will be deleted. Thanks.

I came up with this when I remembered how very polite my blog haters were in real life when I met them, probably because it’s very hard to hate on someone face-to-face who hasn’t wronged you personally. Therefore if you wouldn’t read your comment to me or whoever it’s directed to in person, then a revision is in order.

I want to give it a trial run for a month or two. A part of me feels like not having comments enabled chokes off some good insights related to the topics I write about here, and I want to give it one more shot. Let’s see how it goes.

P.S. I'm huge on Twitter, with over 1 billion followers. Click here to check out my feed.

The biggest surprise though has been Travel forum, which is becoming a resource where many guys use to plan their vacations (see this post on Iceland).

Thankfully, you won’t find many acronyms or five page “field reports” of cringe-worthy lines.

Here are some interesting recent threads:

I can tell this guy is a hater. Judging by his tone (“WTF?”, “or whatever”), he’s enraged that he can’t spew his vitriol on my blog. But I replied to him with respect.

maybe never. my posts are sacred and should not be polluted by other people’s comments

I stand by that statement. If I need your immediate opinion on something, like what books to read, I’ll open comments. Until then, enjoy the silence. Cause I am!!!

I made up a survey that includes a couple dozen questions about you and what you think of the blog, including what you want to see more of. I’m hoping this will help me decide what direction to take things. I have a feeling you guys want me to write more about economics and politics but I’m not completely sure so that’s a reason I made the survey. Your identity remains anonymous as IP addresses aren’t logged and I don’t ask for your email address. To keep you awake I threw in colorful questions like number ten.

I will share aggregate data later, especially for the more fun questions. Take the Roosh V Survey (Of Fun).

Postscript: Survey is closed!
