Anon… from my personal experience, I can confirm that a significant proportion of the fights that rugby players start in discos in Argentina are sparked by incidents related by girls- rather than merely because of rivalry related to the sport itself- so I do not completely agree with your conclusion. And it is not just rugby players who fight, but guys from different types, the worst incidents sometimes leading to guys dying or remaining in a vegetative state. It may happen less often, and generally in less harmful ways than in the US, but fights do take place in BA as well, particularly among younger crowds and in certain discos/parties.

You’ll see fistfights in BA if you go to clubs where guys from different rugby teams go – at least those who are in their 20s. I have brothers and had boyfriends who played rugby and there was always one or more fistfights that would cause trouble at the clubs they/we frequented.

I’ve heard about the Milhouse every day in Argentina. I was thinking of staying in Palermo closer to the nightlife.

I only get cockblocked by girlfriends. Never happened by a guy actually now that I think about it. Since there is no scarcity of girls, there’s no need to. In the hostels though cockblocking is much more common.

Maybe the lack of male belligerence has something to do with the fact that Argentine girls aren’t as uptight as American girls.

Roosh – Stay in the Milhouse Hostel in BA. It’s a great place. You can get your own private room for about $20/night. THere’s a party every night downstairs with targets galore, so you can game without even leaving the place. It’s awesome.
