I wish I knew some of those Cordobesas in the pic, so as to show them that they were featured in the DC City Paper… ha ha.

The media categorizes “pick up” as “self-help” so its held in the same regard, which is a sort of mild contempt. I mean people got laid before pick up came around and people continue to get laid without a copy of BANG to help them.

It seems like the writer has a grudge against guys who like to bed tons of women.

A great deal of game is derived from the observation of “alphas” and there is a lot of faking that does not sit well, not just with the writer but with a lot of people. Everybody want to feel they’re getting the genuine article and lets not forget in the mind of most, an alpha is by definition a high status individual, successful, socially intelligent, and more often than not attractive. These are not common traits, nor are they meant to be so reading about how you can “short cut” the system and indulge yourself in behavior that others may view as undeserved isn’t going to be accepted by the general population.

That was a funny article. Clearly, whether people like it or not, your blog and your message is still very relevant.

You should hit the bars hard for the next few nights and soak in all of the newfound attention from City Paper readers.

i agree with the first part of what you’re saying. i do think, however, that the objections to pick up come from our obsession with being ‘natural’. it makes sense from an evolutionary standpoint, but not when you think of all the effort that women go through to improve themselves physically, mentally, and emotionally.

i don’t think that most women have any problem with pleasing men, especially not if you pay them back in kind. i do, however, think it’s sad that a guy who doesn’t really ‘get it’ when it comes to interacting with women would be mocked and derided for trying a little ‘self-help’ of his own.
