Arrrghgh! I got this by taking an antibiotic called Bactrum when I was 22. Although the hives came on in one day, it took over a month for them to all disappear. I tried everything, from creams to eating yogurt to..I forget what else.

All I know is that this happened around Thanksgiving and I was still red at Xmas. Good luck!

I’m mediterranean too but I never got hives like that. thing is though, I’m allergic to mosquito bites. when a mozzie bites me, I don’t only get a red welt the size of a pencil eraser like most people. instead, my skin swells up like a baloon around the bite… the redness and swelling sometimes extends 4-5 inches away from the bite all around it.

Once I got really small hives on the palms of my hands and the soles of my feet. No idea what they were from, but I found that putting ice packs on those areas helped numb the itching so I could get to sleep.

yeah. this happens to my brother all of the time. it’s a mediterranean thing. we’re precision-built animals, and typically allergic to a lot of the drugs used on white people. hives is neurological. try taking some fish oil for the next few weeks. it will help your skin and calm down nerve transmission.

Stop crying you pussy……imagine if you were in some Iragi desert hidden for hours, maybe even days, looking for snipers and couldnt move to scratch your hived dick….could be worse right?

Maybe you should weigh the benefits of that sinus medication to having to schedule your beat off sessions. I think I’d deal with the sinus infection for the freedom an open beat off schedule allows.

That sucks….sorry. You really should ask if you can get a shot to alleviate some of this. Or, if you’ve only seen a General Practitioner, see a Dermatologist.

Scratching is going to make it worse. When you scratch, you are releasing more histamines, and you become more itchy. I had an allergic reaction to the PABA in my sunscreen and, if I just lightly ran my fingertip over my skin, it would produce welts like yours. I could play tic tac toe on myself – it was creepy.
