The thing about DC, however, is the quality of potential mates is a lot higher than the type of chicks you find in cities like Miami, San Diego, Atlanta, etc. And the idea that chicks here in DC are out only to “make higher-powered connections” is absolutely ridiculous….well, as long as you stay away from Republican intern chicks who hang out at the Capital Grille, that is.

Washington is the ONLY city in the US where I met/dated gorgeous, intelligent, unpretentious, emotionally stable, college-educated women who were well-traveled, well-read, can identify Henry Rollins (and even correctly name “Black Flag” as his former band even though they were not punk rock/emo type chicks), can find Mongolia on a world map, know that “Slaugherhouse-Five” was a book written by Kurt Vonnegut, as well as name the Secretary of Defense and Speaker of the House. In other words, DC is the premier city in America to find well-rounded, smart, and interesting potential women. You can’t the same thing about Miami or San Diego, whose women are–to put it bluntly–dumb as rocks. And not only that, those chicks down South or out West–no matter how “hot” they supposedly are–are going to end up as born-again religious freaks/soccer moms in the suburbs, after gaining 50 pounds.

The DC stereotypes are not true.

They hit the nail on the head with Philly. I thought I was the only one who found Philly people to be, well, trashy…

made very good point… People responding to these questions are not local, and mostly people who visited DC — and let’s face it, tourists hang out where other tourists are hanging out, and tourists are not at all attractive! The locals don’t look that bad…

Now for my two cents, San Diego had gorgeous men, however I’ve never seen so many ugly men as I did in Miami… I spent 6 days there and saw ONE good looking guy. ONE.

why exactly do you miss DC? and anyone who has ever traveled, either w/in the US or abroad, realizes DC is a very unattractive city. it is very rare that i come across a girl here in everyday life that i find very attractive…in San Diego it happens every 2 blocks
