I think guys really do have trouble picking which girl to go for, and since we Argentine girls are too proud to give blatant signals or being second best, there is a high probability that things won't work for the advantage of everyone involved. Guy goes for the wrong girl, who will not do anything with him cause her friend (just as hot, and who the guy would have happily banged anyway) liked the guy more. Then again, moving to the States or the UK, there are beautiful girls, but not in the quantity you see in Argentina (just walk one block and you'll run into several of them!). So numbers work more favorably. However, since I have the proud Argentine genes that prohibit making eye contact and mandate that I should act disinterested until a guy makes an obvious move... So guys still pick up friends of mine who have given them obvious signals. I am quite friendly, and do not consider myself to be bad looking. But guys do not see beyond my Argentine tough front, and although I've tried changing, it somehow does not come naturally.
