Machu Picchu

I was going to pass on Machu Picchu but the peer pressure was too great. It was an expensive notch:

$75 train ride to the town nearest Machu Picchu
$12 round-trip bus ride to Machu Picchu
$40 entrance fee
$7 rip-off mini pizza in town

That’s fine as I can say I took this picture:

Machu Picchu II

The views were beautiful and I’m glad I went, but the magic of Machu Picchu is less when you’ve already visited Pompeii in Italy. I would have been more impressed if I was a ruin virgin, but as you know I get around. I’m at the point in life where I’m more excited by a nightclub’s interesting bathroom than an ancient stone structure.

It’s time for Bolivia. Please say a prayer for my stomach.

Awesome T-shirt!!! Tops all I’ve seen you wearing

I am glad to know you are prepping up, at least clothes-wise, for one of Latin America’s finest.

That picture is unreal belongs in a calender at least. What is up with the prices for transpotation and food though. Are you in America? Eat from the street vendors cheap your stomach should be strong now lol When I was in Indonesia I never got sick off of the Street vendors who wash there dishes on the sidewalk. I only felt deathly ill from the Hotel night cooking in the big city.

I am so glad to see you in that T-shirt, even if it means you lose out on some Brazilian notches.

Be proud of my heritage!

The government has a monopoly on getting to MP, so you have no choice but to bend over. It’s quite a bit less if you have a student card.

Machu Picchu’s been on my list of places to visit for so long (regardless of the prices) and these pictures are simply amazing.

Sorry to hear about the stomach issues…that always makes traveling a little less fun. Hope you are back to 100% soon so you can keep providing international notch knowledge.

It’s a great site to see even if you have seen other ruins before
