Sorry Cob its just that Lincoln being gay is quite possibly true and nobody really has an issue with being gay, unless we’re trying to start a war and divert the publics attention from other relevant issues that we plan to either ignore or exploit. Try something along the lines of Bush is a great or Imus is getting hosed or even Rosie O’Donnell is sexy, those will all inspire debate

The problem, cob, is you are talking to left-wing liberals. They are fine with the idea of Lincoln being gay (which he is not) – perhaps if you said something like “Lincoln own a waist-coat manufacturing facility and employed many children, and died a billionaire” that would have gotten them riled up (true fact, by the way).

As long as you are not after fame or money, self-publishing is the way to go. I own my work and get it out there much quicker.

If I want to get my book in a bookstore, I have to find a literay agent, create a proposal, and shop the book around to publishers, getting many rejections along the way. Then if a publisher is interested, I have to modify the work to suit the way they want to market it. Even if I started this process today, it would take at least a year but most likely more to get it published. Why bother?

Getting a book deal is not unlike getting a record deal. They are both just one way of sharing you work. I just want this book to do well enough so that it can fund my next project, and so on. I don’t have any aspirations of being a respected or best-selling author — I rather have 100% control in a little niche where I’m close to my readers, getting constant feedback along the way.

what’s really ironic about early game taking up the largest section is that the time it takes for a girl to be attracted to a guy is almost as short as the reverse. mere seconds, before he even opens his mouth. it’s all body language in the beginning.
of course, early game is so complex for the guy because, unlike the ease with which an attractive girl can bed a guy no matter how many stupid things she says, a guy gaming a girl has to go through a sequence of events to cement her initial impression of him. fail at any point in the pickup and she’ll re-evaluate your fuck worthiness.

guys don’t do this sort of re-evaluating process. at least, not at first, when we’re just interested in getting her legs open. things change later to the guy’s favor when she tries to snare him into a deeper commitment. *then* he re-evaluates.
