Do you know how advertising works? Through repetition. You’re infected without being aware. When the opportunity arises you will buy the product your brain is already familiar with. Those who think they are immune to advertising are most affected because they make no attempts to block it.

Get a medium sized box and put all the possessions you need in life inside. If you can’t say goodbye to all that other shit, well that shit owns you. In one year get a smaller box and do the same thing.

Buy nothing day? How about buy nothing month. You’ve been trained like a monkey to buy since you were two years old.

I think this is a sound post. The idea is really encouraging us to live our lives to the fullest and not waste time working a shitty job that you hate in order to ‘enjoy’ yourself when you’re 65.

Giving Roosh shit for pointing out that you will someday die shows you’re missing something. I don’t think he’s saying life is pointless, but rather that it ends, as all things do. Once you realize this, the rest of life seems like a sort of gift, one to be enjoyed, not wasted. I wish I could explain this better, but it’s something that struck me while running and I find it very beautiful even though I can’t really explain to someone why. I guess it doesn’t much matter to me who understands the value in the lesson. You have every right to be miserable.

Others have observed correctly the undercurrent of bitterness and anger that takes away from the wisdom of what you have to say, which by the way is nothing new. If you’ve ever sat through a PBS fundraiser and watched Wayne Dyer you would know that you’ve been preceded and bested.

I agree with Tampa, success and wealth earned is enormously satisfying and those that say otherwise haven’t earned it or don’t have it.

So what, you have to have a job, and work and pay taxes. Hell, none of you are starving, are you. Your families don’t have to worry about where they will sleep tonight, or if they’ll be kidnapped, raped, murdered by some fanatic religious or ethnic group. There are millions of people crossing our border, illegally, dangerously, just for a bite at this awful life we live here.
