The notion that, while being educated enough to be able to tell the difference in things, I actually -care-, let alone like other humans, is one of those hilarious misconceptions the blogosphere takes as a base line for human behavior.

Humans are the source of 95% of misery on the planet. Why on earth would I like them?

Did you travel while blindfolded? What a ridiculous statement.

Uh, I'm just saying that I shouldn't have to feel guilty for poverty and terrible things in the world if its the fault of the people. There are some bad things that happen in the world. But it seems as if travel is used more as a means of proving one's worldliness rather than really trying to understand what's going on in other places.

@John Smith I have lived in Europe for a small amount of time and it is more difficult for an East Asian(avoid Portugal) there but easier for an African-American.

That's because Africans are still a relatively small percentage of the population, so its not at the level that offends their ethnocentrism. As a brown person, they saw me as an Arab and immediately turn off. Arabs are a much bigger percent of the population. And I don't recall the last time an African was running for President of France or wherever in Europe.

Why do i have a feeling you are a fan of The Bell Curve

I am. I frequently get annoyed reading about people who talk about poverty when they ignore the true roots behind it.

Haha, agreed!
I have the car, and properties, and insular group of friends, but I don't hate on the loud woman cursing to a local farmers market vendor in spanish with ten kids trying to climb up to her neck.

Then again, I've travelled as much as possible. That person hacking next to you on the bus? Get over it. At least you HAVE the luxury-yes, luxury-of public transport.

My main disagreement with this post is the word "stupid." People who do not have the same education level that you have or I have are not necessarily stupid. I know many folks who have a Middle School education who have offered some of the most tantalizing conversations about life, love, misery and hope.

I live in a border state as I have said maybe a million times here, and have done a lot of time in Mexico and I work with the public and have dealt with smelly boozen meth lessor educated people and they all have something to offer.

Other than the word stupid, I think you are probably right on in making the point that many of us don't really understand humanity in its fullness, including you.

interesting analysis r. mutt. to tell you the truth, my recent post on the poon commandments was something of a coda. i feel like i've said all i can say in the matters of male-female dynamics, game, and love, and i'm ready to veer into a new direction. i plan a two week vacation to e. europe later this summer and i will blog from there. if i have an amazing adventure, i may consider a permanent move. a screenplay/semi-autobiography i'm writing and career changes are also possibilities.

roosh, you've definitely changed since dcb days. not for the worse or better, just different. i like the old and new incarnations. dcb had that reckless youthful abandon to it, with everything from catching a glance at another guy's package in the gym to player v poseur. your rooshv blog sometimes reads like an entirely new author. if i had to use a word i loathe, i'd say your newer stuff feels more "mature". you've gotten more introspective and thoughtful, at the expense of your edgy prankster side. this is as much a function of your changing life station and priorities as it is of just getting older.

btw, it's too bad you took down that old "BHR is gay?" post. that was maybe the funniest shit on dcb.

I hear you Roosh. But in a way, that same lack of gratitude or sense of reality about the incredibly fortunate position we inhabit is most of the reason society advances and drags the rest of the world along with it - nearly every nation on the planet now has a life expectancy greater than the UK, the leading nation at the time, did in 1900.

It's because we become accustomed to what we have so quickly. It's because as soon as we achieve something we ask "what's next?" Our desire for plasma tvs and plastic toys has changed the face of the world. The number of desperately poor in China has dropped by more than 350 million since the mid seventies, against a population rise of hundreds of millions. A big part of this has been due to the influence of the West and your nation.

Funny, I read my old shit and I absolutely hate it. I took down a lot of links to dcb for that reason.

There's blogs i was crazy about (gapingvoid for example), and now i dont even read. "All good things come to an end."

I was faced with the choice to continue nagging and whining about women like usual are move towards a direction my life was going. Women were a big part of my life two years ago, but now they are not. I wrote Bang because i sensed that was coming, and i wanted to capture my thoughts/experiences before i moved on to other things. The blog used to be my sole hobby, but that has taken a backseat as well. Shit changes and in the end this is just a blog.

I wouldn't go to the extreme of saying that his sex life or potential lack thereof is affecting the man's writing. Objectively speaking, I don’t think the last few months reflect the content that led me to subscribe in the first place, but like any art form you need new experiences to provoke thought and inspiration. At the end of the day, who’s to say what’s holding him back and moreover, where his writing will go.
I remember when a friend told me about dcbachelor.com. I had never been into blogs, but after reading a few posts I was hooked. It was some of the most enjoyable, funny and reflective content I’d found in a long time. I scowered through all of dcbachelor in the early months of this year, and then continued right over to the new domain. Shit, I even picked up Bang, which was a short though fun read; had me cracking up quite a few times as Roosh’s personality leaked out here and there.
Point is, Roosh’s older stuff was fresh and unique, while still managing to provoke you in the most direct and unassuming manner. It was, and still is, exceptional at times in terms of content, but more recently I get the vibe that he’s a little drained by the monotony of everyday life and patterns that no longer seem to emerge, but remain stagnant. It’s the same shit different day scenario which really kills you after a while; the man himself even said it a few weeks back…he’s tired.
To be quite frank, I can relate to Roosh more than Roissy, but find myself reading Roissy's blog more and more. If I had to compare them, Roosh is more balanced in his (older) content, i.e. to say; he's easier to relate to as he hits the ups and downs, but still manages to keep the clichés and bullshit far away. He’s well travelled and educated, and writes about his experiences in such a manner that even if you’ve never been outside the US (way too many people fit this description btw) you can live vicariously through his experiences as he vividly describes adventures as near as your typical dt club/bar, or as far as Argentina.
Roissy on the other hand is like watching a David Mamet movie; your balls turn to steel as you smile basking in your own masculinity. After taking in his aggressive writing style and arbitrarily reaching for dictionary.com from time to time (yea…pretend like you don’t), you can’t help but wonder: does this guy live up to his own words?; his own rules?; his own hype? Probably not, but the world needs guys like him to remind the rest of us that we‘re men.
With all the fuckin estrogen, pretty boys, and displaced media floating around, you need some medium, a public sphere, to remind guys that they’re guys. That at the core, you won’t stand for bullshit in any way, shape or form. Roissy’s content is great, but at the end of the day I don’t know how real or applicable it is to everyday life.
I browse over the comment section bit before waking to the realization that everyone wants to be a certified alpha guru from the comfort of a keyboard. Fuckin monkeys…the “Still Playing Games” comment section was a great example how many people don’t get Roissy’s blog. You can read a blog for all your life and still not get any girls, improve your game, or find love. His messages are very relevant to today’s misfit, mind fuck of a woman, but living by his every word, day in, and day out will have you closer to Raging Bull than smooth Casanova. You can interpret things in life in black and white or you can read in between the lines and look at the gray…there’s a time and place to apply Roissy’s logic, choose when it applies and to what extreme.
Anyway…I’ve hit tangents all over the place. I hope whatever is holding Roosh back, be it subliminal, subconscious or otherwise, he overcomes soon. Keep doing your thing man.

I wouldn’t go to the extreme of saying that his sex life or potential lack thereof is affecting the man’s writing.
To be quite frank, I can relate to Roosh more than Roissy, but find myself reading Roissy’s blog more and more. If I had to compare them, Roosh is more balanced in his (older) content, i.e. to say; he’s easier to relate to as he hits the ups and downs, but still manages to keep the clichés and bullshit far away.

I agree man. Roosh tried to drop some science on you fools but the truth hurt too much for most. I've often wondered what people did on subways before IPods were made. Did they really have awkward convos and read TV Guides like on that one Seinfeld Episode?

@John Smith I have lived in Europe for a small amount of time and it is more diffcult for an East Asian(avoid Portugal) there but easier for an African-American.
