My Country

My anti-Americanism has peaked. Like most Americans, I don’t care anymore. Give me the serenity for what I cannot control, etc.

Things about this country I like:

1. Life opportunity. If you are willing to educate yourself, network, and move your ass, you will be rewarded with a salary above the national average, and a lifestyle better than 98% of the world’s population. Money will not be a problem as long as you live within your means.

2. I’m fluent in the native language. One thing slowing me down from making an equivalent salary in another country is language, but a lot of immigrants here prove it is a hurdle that can be overcome.

3. Fast sex opportunity. There will always be strong demand for men who know how to turn on women using words and touch instead of money and status. The market is saturated with guys who don’t have a clue.

4. The Bill Of Rights. Even with the erosions to our rights since 9/11, there are not many countries where I can tell a police officer that he can’t enter my home or search me or my car, or one I can say that our current president sucks horse cock without going to jail. While police agencies are revenue corrupt (parking tickets, red-light cameras), I feel confident that most of my interactions with law enforcement will not end with a beating or drug plant.

5. Target (and it’s little cousin, CVS). From sex lubricant to cutlery, gardening supplies to crazy pills, I love how I can walk in a building near my house and buy everything I could possibly need. Compare this to a European pharmacy where your two choices of bar soap are hidden in cabinets and you need to find a clerk to buy chapstick.

Things I don’t like:

1. Consumerism. The masses devote their life working to buy luxury crap and Ikea furniture, asking what thing can be bought to bring happiness instead of what can be experienced. The result: a superficial culture that turns something like a stupid party slut going to jail into a national obsession.

2. Aggressive government. With over 600 700 military bases worldwide, we’re in everyone’s business to preserve the power and interests of the white man elite. People’s lives, American or not, are meaningless.

3. Corporate power. Industries that form trade groups to spread propaganda and buy politicians have the power to write public policy to maximize profits at our expense.

4. The suburbs. A soulless experiment of strip malls and asphalt that waste the world’s most precious energy resource with automobile dependency while isolating individuals to cars, cubicles, and assembly-line houses.

5. Female obesity. If you lower the obesity rate here to a country like France, and reduce the shallowness that stems from individualism and consumerism, American women would compete well with foreign women. Finding a thin American who is not messed up in the head and girlfriend worthy is so hard here that I wonder if going to another country would completely solve the problem.

Even with the negatives, this country is a comfortable, safe, and decent place to live, one that I intend on growing old in unless I find something better. While I don’t have American pride, I back all of you up whenever a Aussie or British traveler tries to talk trash with their “Americans are so fat/stupid/materialistic” talking points. I can make fun of Americans because I am one, but I’ll be damned if I let someone who eats Vegemite (yeast waste) trash my fellow countrymen.

I dated an immigrant who constantly bashed America. It annoyed the ever living shit out of me. Yet, he’s still here to this day. Go figure.

Yeah, that shit irks me to no end when I hear people bitch about America, especially immigrants. How the fuck you gonna come here and then bitch???? I feel like General Zod and just wanna obliterate their ass for even having such stupid thoughts.

The only issue I have with your argument though is consumerism. I hate to say this but our economy is strong because of consumerism. It creates jobs which put food in peoples bellies so I really don’t have an issue with consumerism. However my gripe is with debt/banks/ and the exploitive nature of our system They’re no reasons possible to explain why 20 somethings are graduating with 50-100 grand or more in college debt. Also no reason it should cost half a million dollars to own a modest home in a safe area with good schools.

mm, I have to agree with you that there are tons of foreigners who constantly bash this country but never leave. I am an immigrant myself and I have felt that if you don’t like it here, why not move? At least as an immigrant you have your home country to go to back to. It was specially bad when I was in College and hear about these other foreign students complain about everything about America.

I agree with Roosh that Shallowness is everywhere, especially American women. They have priced themselves out of the market.

How come you’re an expert on foreign women(do you spend enough time with them, I mean)? I’ve observed enough horribleness in a lot of them and it would lower the standard quite a bit if American women somehow managed to be worse than this. Regarding your irritation at Brits and Aussies, maybe its something wrong with the English language that is a corrupting influence. Perhaps those crazy terrorists were right after all. Once you speak that corrupt English of the Westerners, your soul is then doomed to madness (dont really think that!). It is very rude for someone to insult an American’s country to their face based on general statements, and they’re very common for doing that, especially since the weakness and prejudice of the argument exposes a vulgar mind.

That said, an English GCSE exam of mine contained a Bill Bryson text explaining how Americans use cars for everything and the humorous lengths to which they resorted to. A text seeming to make fun of your country was set nationally in a practically compulsory high school exam. Looking at it from that perspective, things are bad.

Can you please show me the figure that says its the women (as well as the men) who’re mostly fat? I’m not arguing with you, I’m sure you’ve seen evidence with your own visual organs.

As regards to consumerism: GREED UNIFIES.

Americans have managed to create a completely different identity for them in about four centuries. American identity seems to be tied to the family and the American Dream. This identity is a new one compared to the age old established identities of other nations, from whom Americans were scions, and does not depend on race or belief. It depends on the ideals born from the right to allow free will and to allow, above all, survival.

America is a strange unity of all people from all worlds. The blood of all races and ethnicities run through American veins which includes some diluted traditions.

American publication and products are a strong global influence, even while the American military presence makes itself known.

America was and is the cornerstone of ideals and hopes. Free speech, equality, justice and prosperity are aspirations that are global. Whenever there is hypocrisy in American actions, whenever these ideals are compromised, this vision is weakened. It is a betrayal to all, rather than simply the American people.

America is a working representation of how, under one set of laws, the world could actually live in peace.

P.S. Please avoid the personality type of people who talk trash about anything. I mean anything. These guys seem to live to argue their point in as offensive a way as possible, not showing any qualities like consideration or openmindedness. It is even worse if they have some knowledge or intelligence to back this up, because then it is more offensive because you can’t use stupidity as an excuse.

I’d like to second the Target comment, especially with the new SuperTarget that has opened in my area. I can get everything I need in one hour-long trip every two weeks. Deli meat, type Z vacuum bags, an allen wrench set, dehumidifier, laundry hamper, light bulbs, paper towels, ect.

Odd you lumped individualism in with consumerism though. You’d prefer to live in a collectivist society? I’ll pass.

What’ve you got against suburbs? I can’t think of a better place to raise a family. The problem is – American cities are NOT safe, certainly not by European standards. NY is only kept safe by locking up large numbers of black males, it used to be a nightmare forcing a mass exodus to the suburbs.

“to preserve the power and interests of the white man elite.”

Yeah right. Iraq, Afghanistan, Kosovo? These interventions didn’t help America in any way. The problem is that America doesn’t act in its own self interest, the clowns who run the US seem to think it has a ‘higher calling’ to smite the worlds demons. If it acted in its own self interest it would leave the world alone.

Hey Roosh, did you notice your prominently featured quote in the Metro Express paper this morning? I was reading over some guy’s shoulder when he turned the page, and suddenly I notice this brilliant rhetorical gem: “I can make fun of Americans because I am one, but I’ll be damned if I let someone who eats Vegemite (yeast waste) trash my fellow countrymen.”

Props, man.

Bee you must be a gay faggot. Foreign women are not as shallow as U.S. women.
U.S. women are the shallowiest of them all. Even the fat cow women in the U.S. try to be shallow.

Europe and South America are so much better. Hot women available in greater numbers.

Roosh,

Let me say first that I respect you as an writer/artist and I know the hard work involved in documenting ideas. Unfortunately my admiration ends there, as you may be somewhat funny but you’re not very original and it’s pretty clear to me that you completely disregard the responsibility that comes with what you communicate.

What’s worse and so dangerous is that you seem to have a legion of followers who hang on your every word and take what you say at face value. Take numbnuts Adrian stating “NY is only kept safe by locking up large numbers of black males”. Wow. And no one is bothered by this.

Roosh, you’re not much better either. “I feel confident that most of my interactions with law enforcement will not end with a beating or drug plant.” Of course you have nothing to fear since you are an entitled suburban white boy. So sad.

Listen, I love this country and the freedom it gives me and even more the freedoms it gives you. The freedom this country gives all of us allows you to write your hateful ignorant speech. So why do I care? I could make it my life mission to destroy you and your ilk but I wouldn’t waste the effort. The reason is I believe in hope.

I hope that one day a guy like you with so much potential for good and proven leadership ability will wake up and actually contribute something to this great country. And not because America has given you so much but because you have a duty (whether you realize it or not), a duty to do for the least as you would do for yourself.

Take this responsiblity seriously and be something better, bigger than you are.

Thanks,
Floyd

PS – When you say “American girls” and “American football”, you sound like a total douch.

Floyd,
Roosh runs a blog. All he does is hold mens cocks and leads them to the water. I would not consider him a leader of any description and you should feel ashamed of even contemplating this role and putting him on such a lofty pedestal; you must watch ‘Magnolia’; wry smile emerges.
Roosh gives out his advice and should be considered in relation to the ‘Game’. He isn’t here to counter attack ‘Spice Power’, he’s just circumnavigating it.
Its odd that a lineage has been created from International politics to women’s weight and find it quite peculiar that no one of the female sex has picked up on this; almost the ultimate insult; or just a biproduct perhaps ? If this is true then Roosh’s blogs are just another product…his book is out to buy afterall. Which brings me to conclude, maybe you’re reading just a little too much into this Floyd ? Roosh a leader ? Come on man…there must be a good section in ‘Bang’ to help you with these beta-male symptoms. wink

I wouldn’t say our government is overly aggressive, those seven hundred military bases keep nations like China from invading Taiwan. Or the multiple arab nations from invading Israel.
